Combining the best of British & American Showing

Independently run events (NO membership required) for those that want to put the fun back into showing.
"The best of showing from around the world."

Our aim

To bring a great days showing experience to all, no matter whether young or old, experienced or new to showing.
Our flagship show, London Counties, is open to everyone regardless what breed of horse or pony you have and makes donations after the show to local charities & good causes.
Our nominated charities are TEAL (Therapeutic Equine Assisted Learning), a hippotherapy centre in Kent
Dogstars Foundation & DOTS, a UK based charity for homeless people's pets.
In 2023 we donated £1,500 to these charities and for 2024 we were able to donate £1,700.

Established in 1988 our London Counties show combines the excitement and flair of the American and Foreign Breed classes with traditional English show classes, bringing you the best of both showing worlds and brings together over 35 years hands-on experience of events from across the world to bring you what we feel is a great mix.

On offer are breed specific classes for British Breeds & Foreign Breeds, Coloured Classes, our unique Junior Junction classes and generic non-breed specific classes brought together for a great days show. Fabulous rosettes & sashes to all class winners,  (PC) trophies, numerous additional awards and prizes, a great annual event for you, helping others at the same time.
We've now grown to offer a number of events throughout the year, from Open Shows to Foreign Breed exclusive shows.
Click on the homepage of APHS Open Shows on the menu bar above and then use the drop down menu for more information.

Our APHS Foreign Breed Shows are a Festival of Shows to celebrate all the various foreign breeds and to offer an end of season National Championship Finals, which you need to have qualified for. (Please see our National Finals page for more details). At all of our events we have classes for both pure and partbred Foreign Breeds where no qualification is required.

In addition, where-ever possible we  follow our passion and support other foreign breed shows and classes by offering sponsorship/awards - follow our Facebook Page to keep up to date of these competitions and awards. Click on the homepage of Foreign Breed Shows on the menu bar above and then use the drop down menu for more information on our individual shows and events. Again, superb rosettes, sashes and sometimes garlands at all our events, together with numerous prizes, awards and trophies are combined with panel judges and helpful stewards to give great days showing for everyone.

None of this is possible without the help of our wonderful sponsors, helpers and competitors.
If you would like to support us, we welcome your sponsorship - all levels are available from individual rosette sponsorship to supreme championship sponsorship.  All monies raised from these events go back into future shows, profits shared to charity/good causes or used to support similar events in the UK.
Please use the form below, or contact us directly for more information.

Schedules can be found for all our 2025 events at the bottom of this page and you can find out more about each event by using our menu at the top of the page.

Members are reminded to send their Hi-Point Cards in for 2024.

We look forward to seeing you at our events during the year.

PLEASE NOTE: If we have to cancel or postpone any of our shows due to the coronavirus (or any other infectious disease, equine or human), entries received will be carried forward to a rescheduled show date or refunded if the event is cancelled due to a lock down, less any administrative/handling fee incurred by ourselves (e.g. imposed by a third party such as banks, Stripe or PayPal). Your safety is important to us.

New to Foreign Breed Showing?
We know some of you join us as your first introduction to showing, or your first introduction to the "American" style of showing foreign breeds - and appreciate it can all be a bit daunting and confusing.
Have a read through the Foreign Breed Show Rules, as it is very informative and is as useful to the competitor as it is to judges.
You can contact us via social media on our Facebook page or Facebook group
or you can EMAIL us direct.
