APHS London Counties Show

APHS London Counties Show

The APHS London Counties Show, our Flagship Summer Show,  was established in 1988 and has  always allowed any breed of horse or pony to compete on equal footing with each other - whatever the breed or turnout. So whether you have a plaited show pony, a traditional Gypsy Cob or an American Saddlebred turned out saddle seat you can be sure you will be judged to your breed standards and criteria.

We are very pleased to announce that the venue will be:
Pachesham EC, Randalls Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 0AL

With 60-odd classes being offered in 4 rings, there is bound to be something suitable for you - whether you are new to showing and want to compete in our novice, local and walk/trot classes, or if you are a breed connoisseur and wish to compete in your breed specific classes. We offer some of the best rosettes and sashes available, with PC trophies in all championships, plus lots of prizes and awards that have been kindly donated to us. Some of our competitors have been with us since we started - the best compliment we think to our events. We also have some very generous sponsors - without whom we would not be able to bring you a show of this stature.

This is our "bling" show & our prize show. Championships will be pinned to 3rd place and all class winners will receive a championship size blinged rosette (class winners automatically receive sashes too).

All winners of these awards are eligible to come forward for our Champion of Champions in 2025, where the highest placed Amateur Owned, Trained & Shown exhibitor will win a special award and £50.

Please note, for all end of season championships with prize money, funds may be paid AFTER the show and the organisers reserve the right to only present the cash prizes if 10 or more exhibitors forward in each respective championship.

All our events are independently run and as such no membership is required to take part.  We also run these events to give back to the showing community - every penny raised is ploughed back into the show fund (to fund more events - we have grown from one event a year to four); as well as making donations to our nominated charities. Who nominates our charities? You do - we run a poll on our social media group every year for our members to decide who they want their nominated charities to be.
Since 2020 APHS events have raised £7,830 for our nominated charities.

We rely on sponsors for prizes and additional bling awards, all of which help make our events special. Can you help? Please get in touch if you would like to sponsor a class or championship.

We affiliate to a number of societies and end of year championships (some of these you need to join within so many days of the show in order to take part in the championships you have qualified for, but not the classes at our event).
